Estimated use of water contains state and county-level data compiled from those collected at the site-specific level from hundreds of thousands of local, state and federal environmental agencies. The data are collected and produced every five years. Unless otherwise indicated, units are millions of gallons per day (Mgal/d).  Not all categories are available for all areas.  

Note: The USGS publishes data about three- to four-years after the end of each period, i.e., 2015 data will be available in about 2018 or 2019.
