This database contains annual utilization data reported by hospitals, including basic licensing information, bed classifications, patient demographics, the number of discharges, patient days by bed classification, and the number of live births.  It also contains the type of services provided, such as the number of surgical operating rooms, surgeries performed (both inpatient and outpatient), number of cardiovascular procedures performed, and licensed emergency medical services provided.
