This database provides the number of total, full- and part-time students by gender, ethnicity, and level of study (i.e., graduate, undergraduate, etc.) in U.S. colleges and universities. Colleges are organized by type, such as public or private, two- or four-year, and when applicable, non-profit or for-profit.  Data are not available for all possible combinations of student demographic and college type categories.  Years refer to the fall quarter or semester of a traditional academic year.
