Summary: Average SAT scores of college-bound seniors and percentage of graduates taking SAT
This database contains average SAT scores for graduating seniors and the percentage of graduates taking the SAT, based on projected graduates by the Western Interstate Commission for Higher Education (WICHE). Figures are presented by test score or in percent. Possible scores on each part of the SAT (critical reading, math, and writing) range from 200 to 800. Graduates taking the SAT are available to one-decimal place only after 2011.
The SAT was formerly known as the Scholastic Assessment Test and the Scholastic Aptitude Test In 2005, the SAT introduced a writing section. Writing scores until 2004 are reported as NA. The critical reading section was previously known as the verbal section, and verbal scores are reported in the reading category.
