This database contains the number of persons on state or federal parole at the start and end of each year, and the number who enter and exit parole.  It also contains demographic characterisitcs of parolees, supervised in the community on January 1 and December 31, 2014, and a count of the number entering and leaving supervision during the year. The survey reports the number on parole status by demographic characteristics, supervision status, and type of offense.  Users should exercise caution as some categories contain data anomalies, e.g., values of 0 are reported when it appears data may be missing.
